Energy Star Qualified Roof Coating
Insuladd® Energy Coat is an elastomeric roof and exterior wall paint that contains Insuladd® for extra savings and comfort. By coating a roof with Insuladd®, heat gets reflected back to its source to increase comfort and decrease energy cost. The coating on the roof will reflect the hot rays of the sun, keeping the rest of the building cooler. Because of this, the roof coating actually helps block UV radiation in working areas of the building.
In addition, Insuladd® E-Coat can also smooth over minor surface imperfections while protecting against driving rain and keeping moisture out of your home or building.
Applying a coating of Insuladd® E-Coat to the roof is simple. It can be applied by brush, roller, or spray gun. And Insuladd® E-Coat is much lighter than traditional insulation boards, making it ideal for areas not able to withstand large weight loads, such as lightweight roofs or thin sheet panels.
Insuladd® E-Coat can also flex over a wide temperature range (even bend 90° at -37°C), making it ideal for surfaces that will expand or contract due to heating and cooling. A roof with a coating of Insuladd® E-Coat will elongate, bend and recover without cracking or flaking damage.
